Killarney Country Club is one of the premier locations for corporate golf days in Gauteng. It is conveniently located just off the M1 highway, being in close proximity to the Sandton and Johannesburg central business districts.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted outside the golf office by our Golf Director and his staff. You will then be able to have a few practice putts before you tee off on our championship golf course, which was designed by the internationally renowned Robert Trent Jones and is maintained by Golf Data, who are the Nicklaus Design representatives in South Africa.
Both the novice as well as the experienced golfer will enjoy the round as well as the beautiful flowers, trees and bird life located around the course.
Our Golf Director will assist you with all your time-sheet requirements, starting of the field and scoring after the round is completed.
The Club has several function rooms available for prize giving and will be able to accommodate the smaller group for snacks to the larger group looking to have a formal dinner after the golf.

Tee off times at 8 minute intervals:
Summer (September to April):
Morning field tee off: 06:45am – last tee-off at 08:04am
Afternoon field tee off: 11:04am – last tee-off at 12:48pm
Winter (May to August):
Morning field tee off: 07:00am – last tee off at 08:04am
Afternoon field tee off: 11:00am – last tee off at 12:40pm
Green Fees for 2010:
- 60 players or less @ R230.00 pp including VAT
- 60+ players @ R210.00 pp
- 100+ players @ R190.00 pp
Players Halfway House:
Vouchers @ R45.00 pp excluding VAT – arranged directly through "Executive Cuisine" our non-kosher Caterer.

Caddies: Minimum requirement is 2 caddies per fourball / 1 caddie if using golf carts
- Caddy Levy @ R15.00 pp including VAT
- Caddy Halfway House @ R25.00 pp including VAT (KCC provides vouchers if necessary)
- Caddy Tip @ R110.00 minimum - cash to be provided on the day to facilitate this payment to the caddies - this does not appear on a final corporate invoice as it is a gratuity.
Sponsored Holes:
- Branding only, at no additional charge, must be freestanding and outdoor friendly (e.g. A-frames, pop-ups, teardrop or feathers, telescopic or fountain style flags, etc. - all branding must be removed on the same day).
- Drinks supplied by the Club on a cost on consumption basis and charged to the main account; or
R1000-00 per wet hole - charged to the main account, where sponsors provide own drinks, this must include ice, cooler boxes, tables, chairs, umbrellas/gazebos. PLEASE NOTE: No alcohol or glass allowed on the golf course.
Watering Holes:
The 4th and 14th are practical – We recommend a maximum of 4 watering holes only in total.
The Club offers: Soft Drinks/Mineral Water/Energade - charged on a consumption basis to the main account.
Drinks Cart:
The Club has one vendor cart with a cart hire levy of R250.00 applicable and charged to the main account. Our driver can offer drinks to players on the field either on a cash or consumption basis – the latter charged to the main account.
After Golf Drinks:
On the main verandah - strictly cash only or on a cost on consumption basis. This also applies to the bar at the prize giving function - please advise any restrictions if the latter.
Prize Giving and Dinner:
Regular venue is the Killarney Bowl - accommodating a maximum of 144 people. No room hire charged for this particular venue – there is however as staffing levy charged by the caterers.
NB: Should you require any other function venue, room hire will be levied in this case – please book with the Catering Department.
Catering:
All catering for both Non-Kosher and Kosher is outsourced at Killarney Country Club and we request that you contact the relevant caterer directly to discuss refreshments on arrival, players halfway house and the prize giving dinner function itself. NB: Invoicing is separate for all booked catering requirements with both caterers.

Deposits:
In order to secure a golf day booking, the deposit payable is as follows:
- R 3 500.00 = 32 players
- R 6 500.00 = 60 players
- R 8 500.00 = 80 players
- R10 000.00 for a full field of 120 players

Public Liability Insurance Cover:
This is mandatory for all golf days at Killarney Country Club, as we are situated next to the M1 highway. Insurance can be arranged through your own insurer - written confirmation and the value thereof is required. Alternatively, the Sports Co-ordinator can do this on your behalf through the Club's broker - the charge is R700.00 currently and charged to the final account, this covers errant golf balls being hit onto the highway and/or surrounding areas and cover is for R5 million.
Dress Code:
We request that all golfers adhere to the following dress code:
- Shirts with collars and sleeves
- Slacks
- Tailored shorts (allowed in the Clubhouse until 18:00pm only)
- Short white socks to be worn
- Golf shoes with soft spikes (metal spikes are not permitted)
The following will not be permitted on the golf course:
- Jeans
- Sweat pants
- Baggy shorts
- Tennis shorts or other athletic shorts
