The Killarney Country Club has 8 all weather tennis courts of which three are floodlit. We also have a Pro Shop which deals with all the tennis and squash related items and services such as stringing etc.
There are various amounts of leagues played during the year. This includes summer and winter leagues where junior, senior, ladies, mens and a mixed league are offered. We are lucky in that there are many different club levels and therefore all new members are guaranteed to fit in. Our first team has competed in the Bundes league for the last 8 years and has always faired well. The juniors have also finished in the top 2 teams in Johannesburg in the last 5 years.
Social tennis is organised on Sunday mornings from 09:30 through to 12:30, where committee members mix the various combinations up. There are once a month braai’s on Sunday, so please chat to your committee members for details. Saturday there is also social, however this is not organised social and members can play either singles or doubles. Tuesday nights are reserved from 19:30'ish for members floodlit tennis.
Charles Wheeler Tennis Coaching has been running a tennis academy at KCC for the past 8 years. The academy coaches mainly elite juniors and offers private lessons and a varied amount of different level squads. Several members have lessons at the Club and feel free to chat with Charles himself, or any of the 3 assistant coaches at the Club.

SWIMMING POOL and PICNIC AREA
Deck chairs and chaise lounges on beautifully manicured lawns around the magnificent pool make the pool complex an ideal place to spend a relaxing weekend with family and friends. The pool is also big enough for serious swimmers to do laps and get a serious swimming workout!
GYMNASIUM with Steam Room
A small but well-equipped gym that may only be used by Club members, ensuring that it is never too crowded. The gym has a range of resistance and cardio training machines, including three exercise bikes, two treadmills, a bench press, various common resistance training machines and different barbell and dumbbell weights (and of course, a TV featuring M-Net and Supersport!).
Its very personal atmosphere and 'private gym' feel makes it ideal for the average person wanting to tone and get fitter in a quiet and exclusive atmosphere far removed from the noise and overcrowding of big commercial gyms.
The gym is also more than adequate for any serious athlete, as it features the presence of a professional personal trainer ready to give you a few free pointers during your workout or a session of personal training. Adequate changerooms include a steam room.
NEW! NEW! NEW! A Storm at KCC gymnasium
We are very pleased to announce that Elsa Storm, well-known fitness and wellness coach, radio/TV personality, international presenter and trainers coach is now based at our gymnasium.
Elsa has started her training sessions where she offers individual and group personalized fitness, conditioning and wellness sessions. The group sessions have limited numbers to ensure individual attention, as these sessions are designed to accommodate the participants and can vary from core conditioning, to walking, to strength, cardio, etc.
Class design is according to the abilities of the individuals and special sessions are put aside for sportsmen and women to enhance athletic performance.
Class times vary throughout the week to make provision for personal time constraints.
