Membership: Membership ApplicationMEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURE
In order to expedite all membership applications we request the following basic steps to be adhered to:
WHEN APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP: THROUGH A PROPOSER
a. The proposer must ensure the membership application form is completed providing all relevant details and is dated.
b. The application form must be signed by; the proposer, a seconder and the applicant.
c. The proposer and seconder must be members of the section the applicant is applying to join. No committee member or spouse may propose or second an applicantion.
d. A clearance letter from the applicant’s previous club, if applicable, must be attached.
e. All previous clubs where the applicant was a member, must be declared.
f. The proposer is to ensure that the new member is integrated into the Club after acceptance.
WHEN APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP: WITHOUT A PROPOSER.
a. A membership application form must be completed providing all relevant details and be dated and signed.
b. A letter of reference from the applicant’s employer and bank must accompany the application form.
c. A clearance letter from previous club, if applicable, must be attached.
d. All previous clubs where the applicant was a member, must be declared.
GENERAL
a. In the event of golf membership being fully subscribed new applications will be posted on the Club’s notice board for a period of 30 days, thereafter the applicant will be placed on a “Waiting List“ for consideration later.
b. Golf membership applicants may only play on time sheet times after they have been accepted and if they have an official handicap of 24 or less for men and 36 or less for ladies.
c. Applications for all other sections including Social will be posted on the Club’s notice board for a period of 30 days from date of receipt of the application form.
d. After the completion of the 30 day posting period the applicant will be invited to attend an orientation meeting and only thereafter, may such new member enjoy the use of the clubs facilities.
