Dear Fellow Members

With the AGM out the way it is time to focus on improving the golf experience at Killarney, issues that were raised included the driving range, bunkers and the water attenuation project, all of which you will have feedback on very soon.

Thank you to all of you for your faith in having my committee and I serving you for another year.

Good news on the committee front is that Gary Levy is joining us, he has been on committee before, brings a wealth of experience and is great golfer - Welcome Ga,
we look forward to having you on board.

Ryan Dreyer is currently in France captaining the South African side, we wish him well and want to thank him again for flying the Killarney flag so high.

Our scratch league side played their second game on the weekend we lost both games and are currently in 2nd last position in the Premier League, we seem to be a bit out of our depth even with Ryan Dreyer at the helm. We need to bump up our drive for juniors and an academy so that Killarney can be more competitive. We were not helped missing a few players due to the sad passing of Lionel Chernotsky, Lionel was the teams biggest fan and will be sadly missed. We wish Brian and his family long life!

Well done to Ian Oliver, Laurence Michel, Gary Dupen and Gary Steinberg for winning the Jack Hoffman on a great score of +30 for the 2 weeks. Gary Dupen hit a 5 wood in the hole for Eagle with a shot on number 13, no wonder you guys got to plus 30 :)

Club Champs is on the 29th of May and 5th of June, please put your names down and make your games, 'A' division will be seeded on the 5th of June and players who need to be put into games for either week or both weeks will be assisted by the golf office. Please support us and help make this the best club champs turn out ever.

The singles and doubles due dates for the first rounds are coming up, please make an effort to play your games.

See you all at the Club

Darren
